Women-only gallery at MONA to let men in for housework lessons
The women-only Ladies Lounge at Hobart’s Museum Of Old & New Art (MONA) has “transcended” the gallery after its gender discrimination win in the Supreme Court, and will close for good after a three-week “victory lap”, according to its creator Kirsha Kaechele.
The gallery, which has never allowed men beyond its green silk curtains – bar the butlers serving champagne – will reopen on December 19 and close for good on January 13.
