Tim Minchin’s trashed piano is up for auction

When Tim Minchin had a spare piano he wanted to auction for charity, a music therapy non-profit was the obvious beneficiary.
“I intuitively understand the benefits of music for mental health,” says the comedian, singer-songwriter and actor, whose music and lyrics for Matilda The Musical led him to a Tony Award in 2016 – making him one of the few Australians to receive the honour.
