STC loses subscribers after scarf display

People are cancelling or delaying their Sydney Theatre Company subscriptions following an unauthorised pro-Palestinian protest at curtain call of The Seagull last Saturday, according to the man whose letter to the company went viral.

Daniel Grynberg, chief executive of disability housing provider Specialised Accommodation Solutions and a past subscriber and patron of the STC, said in his letter boycotting the company that the sight of three actors wearing Palestinian scarves as they bowed would have “sickened” many in the audience.
