Happy hour proved elusive last week when only seven bottles of collectable Japanese whiskies found new buyers in an online auction of 34 bottles of the previously sought-after tipple.
As previewed by Saleroom last week, Lawsons’ Fine and Rare Japanese Whisky auction featured estimates of up to $80,000 to $100,000 for just one bottle, although most estimates hovered around $8000 to $10,000 per bottle.
