Live streaming concerts on Instagram, releasing videos of old shows on YouTube and giving video music lessons on Facebook are just some of the ways musicians are responding to the COVID-19 lockdown.

While it’s never been easy making a living from music, and the closure of venues since March 23 has had a major impact on the financial bottom line for musicians, there are some glimmers of hope as consumers experiment with new ways to access their favourite acts.
