Say “guten tag" to the Audi Festival of German Films, featuring 39 current and classic German films, some never screened in Australia. The line-up is in three categories: currents (the cream of the new film crop), radical docs (thought-provoking documentaries) and retro 2001-11 (10 celebrated German films from the recent past). The festival runs in Sydney from April 6-18; Melbourne, 7-18 April; Brisbane, 7-12 April; Adelaide, 13-18 April, and Perth,14-18 April. For full program, venues www.goethe.de/australia.
