The international love affair with Australian Indigenous art shows no sign of abating and collectors’ interest seems resistant to the effects of global markets roiled by the coronavirus.

Not even the state of emergency that was declared in New York on Saturday kept enthusiasts away from an exhibition of works by the esteemed Emily Kame Kngwarreye and leading painters of the Papunya Western Desert movement, which opened at Chelsea’s High Line Nine galleries last Thursday.
