Five stunning and historically significant pieces of Indigenous art will travel together to settle in a new home in Europe after a relatively new collector dropped $US1.546 million ($2.341 million) at Sotheby’s fourth New York auction of Aboriginal Art.

Paintings by Johnny Warangkula Tjupurrula, Emily Kngwarreye, Pepai Jangala Carroll, Angelina Pwerle and Tjumpo Tjapanangka will be dispatched to a collector of contemporary international art in Europe.
