Thailand’s prime minister has urged Anthony Albanese to slow the rollout of the government’s New Vehicle Efficiency Standard, the Thai government has said.

But Prime Minister Anthony Albanese disputed claims by Thailand, saying Australia would act in it national interest and the matter was not raised in talks this week between him and his Thai counterpart at the ASEAN summit in Melbourne.
