Sales of Tesla electric cars in Australia tumbled 53 per cent in March and are down almost 60 per cent for the first three months of 2025, figures released by the Electric Vehicle Council outlined on Thursday.
The EVC said 2829 Tesla vehicles were sold in March in Australia compared with 6017 in the same month in 2024. Sales for Polestar – the other full EV that reports through the EVC – were up 114 per cent, with 182 sold in Australia compared with 85 in March last year.
