Sydney Airport will maintain edge over city’s second, outgoing boss says

Sydney Airport chief executive Geoff Culbert says the country’s busiest airport will maintain its edge over new competitor Western Sydney for business travellers, but flight cancellations are destroying confidence to fly.

“Sydney Airport has a unique position in that it’s 8 kilometres from the CBD. There are very few airports around the world on our size and scale that are located so close to the downtown area,” Mr Culbert said in an interview marking his departure from the company.
