Qld says it will do more to help Virgin out of administration
Queensland State Development Minister Cameron Dick says he is willing to consider making a bigger financial commitment to help Virgin emerge from voluntary administration to provide competition to Qantas.
Mr Dick said the state government would commence negotiations with administrators Deloitte as soon as possible, but warned the federal government needed to make a serious financial commitment, such as an equity stake, to ensure the second airline's survival.
