Qantas has hired advisers to find a replacement for Alan Joyce as the airline seeks to replace arguably the most polarising figure in corporate Australia.
News that the Qantas board has hired leadership advisory firm Russell Reynolds to draw up the criteria for his successor emerged as Mr Joyce announced the airline would embark on a hiring spree to help achieve its growth ambitions, replacing 8500 of the around 9800 jobs cut during the pandemic.
