Peter Warren Auto boss says Tesla sales model will coexist
The chief executive of car dealership Peter Warren Automotive says the direct-to-consumer sales model used by electric vehicle group Tesla could eventually undermine some traditional car dealer networks, but most car buyers are still three or four years off from going fully electric.
Mark Weaver said many potential buyers are curious about electric vehicles, but because of “range anxiety”, higher cost and uncertainty over future replacement of electric vehicle batteries, are not yet prepared to commit.
