Perrottet scoped Sydney CBD congestion charge

The former Perrottet NSW government considered slapping cars travelling through Sydney’s CBD with a congestion charge and also asked transport experts to consider an overhaul of the city’s toll road system which included putting tolls on city approaches that motorists currently access free of charge.

As NSW Premier Chris Minns embarks on a review of the state’s toll roads, departmental briefings have revealed some of the options then-premier Dominic Perrottet canvassed to speed up movement across Sydney.
