The global chief executive of Italian luxury car brand Lamborghini wants buyers to hear the roar of a petrol engine for decades to come, and says it’s part of the overall appeal pushing the brand to record sales and profits.
Stephan Winkelmann said while more of the group’s models had hybrid options combining traditional petrol engines with an electric motor and battery, it was crucial the sound of the engine remained a core part of Lamborghini.
