Escalating tensions and fresh attacks on container ships in the Red Sea are tipped to drive up costs on European imports, but ongoing industrial action at Australian ports poses a much bigger problem for consumers than Houthi rebels, experts say.

Major shipping companies are reassessing routes via the Suez Canal and Red Sea due to ongoing attacks in the region, impacting trade between Europe and Asia, as well as Australia.
