Qantas and Virgin Australia’s stranglehold over the company that allocates crucial landing slots at Sydney Airport has been broken after a rival bidder won a government-led tender.
The winning bidder, Airport Coordination Limited, organises slot regimes at some of the world’s busiest and most complex airports including Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Manchester, Dublin, Auckland and Dubai.
