DiDi goes after Uber with ride-share expansion

Chinese ride-share group DiDi Chuxing is seizing on the easing of COVID-19 restrictions in most states to up the ante against rivals Uber and Ola and expand in Australia, extending services to 20 more cities including Adelaide and Canberra.
DiDi, which entered the Australian market in mid-2018 with services in Geelong and Melbourne and currently operates in eight cities, will add the new services on August 10.
