Sky-high airfares for cross-Nullarbor flights are about to fall, as Regional Express Airlines gets ready to launch a new service from Perth to Melbourne next week.

New analysis from the Australian Airports Association shows the $99 sale fares offered by Rex to celebrate the commencement of the new route will be the lowest prices available since 2010. Rex’s standard $269 one-way fare represents the cheapest seats since 2015.
