Rex chairman out amid overhaul of regional airline’s board, executive

Regional Express’ largest shareholder, Lim Kim Hai, is stepping down as the airline’s chairman and will be replaced by former Howard government minister John Sharp, just days after the ASX queried the company about its related-party transactions.

Mr Lim was the company’s executive chairman, and day-to-day management will be taken over by Neville Howell, the current chief operating officer and a three-decade veteran of the regional carrier and its predecessor Hazelton Airlines.
