Chinese warships bolster case to combine civil and defence airspace

Airservices Australia says combining military and civil air traffic control systems will strengthen the country’s resilience against a more aggressive Chinese military, as the long-delayed $2 billion project nears completion.

Australia will become the first country in the world to combine civil and military air traffic control when the project goes live in 2027.
