777’s Canadian budget carrier stumbles, and Bonza loses an aircraft

777 Partners, the Miami-based private equity group backing new low-cost airline Bonza, is redirecting a jet originally meant for the Australian carrier to the firm’s Canadian budget outfit Flair Airlines.

Bonza began commercial operations in late January, after delays in obtaining approvals from regulators, with four Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. The company plans to have eight planes in service within 12 months.
