$156k Land Rover payment for CEO grilled in AMA case

A former executive at smash repair giant AMA has admitted he should have checked before making a company payment of $150,910 for a personal Land Rover for his boss.

The admission came in a lawsuit from Stephen Harding-Smith, a former chief financial officer of AMA’s key “panel” division, against the company. The lawsuit examined a car allowance for former chief executive Andy Hopkins. Mr Hopkins has been embroiled in separate legal action with AMA over expenses and bonuses.
