Queensland bans more Sydney COVID-19 hotspots
Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk says she would have no problems with introducing new border bans – including ring-fencing Sydney's 5 million people – if the coronavirus situation worsens in NSW, as she adds the western suburbs Fairfield council to the state's "hotspot" list.
While she stopped short of saying the state's borders would be closed again, Ms Palaszczuk said more bans on hotspots in local government areas in Sydney were likely if community transmission continued to take hold in NSW.
