North Sydney locals overruled as TPG wins right to light up sign

TPG Telecom is free to light up a flashy Vodafone logo mounted on its North Sydney headquarters after a court threw out protests from the local council.

While North Sydney Council argued the sign did not meet criteria that says it cannot interfere with the character or views and vistas of the area, NSW Land and Environment Court senior commissioner Susan Dixon judged otherwise after a night excursion to the building and consultation with residents.
