Telecom retailer Amaysim will sell its energy business, Click Energy, to AGL for $115 million to reduce risk during the pandemic-induced economic crisis.

The price is $5 million less than Amaysim paid for the company three and a half years ago, and will leave it as a mobile-only retailer after it stopped reselling NBN plans in 2018. The deal, which had been on the cards for some months, will boost AGL's retail energy customer numbers by 211,000.
