Amaysim acquires OVO, confirms energy sale rumours

Amaysim chief executive Peter O'Connell says the company is open to selling its energy business but is committed to retaining it in the event that sale talks prove fruitless, saying the acquisition of Click Energy three years ago was the right move.

The comments came in a busy week for the telecoms and energy retailer, which said it would splash $15.8 million acquiring mobile retailer OVO's 77,000 customers as rumours began circulating that Origin Energy was close to making a bid for the energy business.
