Jaclyn Narracott has lifted Australia’s medal tally to four, the country’s highest, with a silver medal in skeleton, the least aerodynamic and slowest of the Winter Olympics’ three sliding sports.
Brisbane-born Narracott, now based in the British city of Bath, was the first woman from outside Europe and North America to claim a medal in skeleton, with an aggregate time of 4:08.24 from her four runs, losing narrowly to Germany’s Hannah Neise who scored 4:07.62.
