Where the Rugby World Cup semis will be won and lost

Don’t believe reports that the semi-finals will be walkovers for New Zealand and South Africa.

There are many who believe this weekend’s semi-finals are merely formalities ahead of a Rugby World Cup final between New Zealand and South Africa in Paris on Saturday week.

Argentina and England would beg to differ, as both have achieved significant victories over their semi-final opponents in recent years.

Simon Poidevin played 59 Test Matches for the Wallabies between 1980 and 1991, captaining the team on four occasions. Simon is one of only four Australians to have won rugby union's World Cup, Grand Slam, Bledisloe Cup and Hong Kong Sevens.
