It’s hard to remember the last time there was so much excitement about a Wallabies debut. News that star NRL recruit Joseph-Aukuso Sua’ali’i will start against England at Twickenham on Saturday night (Sunday AEDT) has the whole world watching.

In team selection, gambles don’t come much bigger than this. Sua’ali’i has never played a professional rugby match. Indeed, this will be the 21-year-old’s first competitive game of rugby union since he last played for The King’s School at Parramatta five years ago. And Sua’ali’i has been thrust straight into the challenging position of outside centre, rather than starting on the lower intensity wing as most expected.

Simon Poidevin played 59 Test Matches for the Wallabies between 1980 and 1991, captaining the team on four occasions. Simon is one of only four Australians to have won rugby union's World Cup, Grand Slam, Bledisloe Cup and Hong Kong Sevens.
