New Rugby Australia chief executive Andy Marinos is banking on tribalism to draw fans back to what is shaping as a critical week for the struggling sport, with a new competition kicking off and new broadcast partners putting it to air.

The 2021 Super Rugby AU season kicks off with a Friday night double header that pits the NSW Waratahs against the Queensland Reds and Western Force tackle the ACT Brumbies.
