Young guns rise at ‘record breaking’ Australian Open

The Australian Open has smashed records with more than a million visitors coming to watch the tournament, as economic data shows it has given a shot to the Victorian economy amid a changing of the guard to new men’s champion Jannick Sinner.
The 2023 Open had a record crowd of 839,000 people and a further 63,120 who attended the qualifying matches.
