Home runs and hot dogs aren’t normally associated with cricket but a small group of Australians are trying to make America fall in love with the sport.
Sagar Sritharan first dreamt of playing international cricket as a child, after watching Sri Lanka beat Mark Taylor’s Australian team in the 1996 World Cup final.
He realised this goal might be slipping away when he failed to set his Dubbo high school cricket team on fire. Now, he says he’s found the next best thing – he’s on a mission to get America to fall in love with cricket.
