EY stands by Games advice, refuses to say how much it was paid
Consulting giant EY says it stands by its work for the Victorian government on the original business case for the 2026 Commonwealth Games, despite Premier Daniel Andrews later claiming massive cost blowouts were the reason the event had to be cancelled.
Senior EY partners also refused to disclose to a Senate inquiry how much the firm was paid for its work on the Games business case, which Mr Andrews later described as “not the greatest piece of work”.
