Frustration as Australia miss chances against England

After an engrossing first day of the fourth Ashes test at Old Trafford, the notoriously unreliable English weather is coming into the final reckoning of a hard-fought, fiery series.
With the chance of rain forecast at between 20-50 per cent in the remaining four days, the prospect of more, or less, rain-interrupted play may have a key bearing on the result.
