“Catches win matches,” goes one of the great cricket clichés, and it was proved once again this evening when Australia wrapped up a thrilling second Test win against Pakistan, with two consecutive screamers by Mitchell Marsh and Steve Smith.
But it was appropriate that the stand-out effort in Australia’s victory came from captain Pat Cummins who finished the Boxing Day Test at the MCG with a 10-wicket haul.
