NBL owner Larry Kestelman has declared the national men’s basketball competition is not for sale, rejecting a hostile takeover from the billionaire behind the Illawarra Hawks.
Jared Novelly, an oil tycoon and ally of US President Donald Trump, wrote to the NBL’s clubs late on Thursday with a plan to oust Kestelman from his position, citing concerns with how he has managed and distributed funding and profits.
