Topshop Australia administrators point finger at Arcadia Group

The $30 million collapse of Topshop Australia has been blamed on high costs and poor product mix under a franchise agreement with UK brand owner, Sir Philip Green's Arcadia Group.

Austradia, which collapsed in May, was unable to offer competitive prices because of high franchise fees, according to a report by the company's administrators, while inventory quality and stock mix were sub-optimal due to the nature of the agreement with Arcadia.
