Super Retail Group’s Christmas bet pays off
Super Retail Group is refurbishing stores, expanding its product range and boosting service to retain new customers who flocked to its shops and online store for camping equipment, car accessories and fitness products when other retailers ran out of stock during the pandemic.
Chief executive Anthony Heraghty said the retailer’s decision to go long on stock at the peak of COVID-19 and invest most of the proceeds of a $203 million capital raising into inventory had paid off in spades.
