Australian shoppers are yet to reach the point where higher price tags will cause them to stop buying. Across stylish footwear, wine and electronic appliances, prices have jumped as inflation climbs but both in-store and online checkouts are still busy.

It’s discretionary spending where any pinch points are being closely watched but the level where consumers say enough is enough and hold off on a purchase appears not to have been reached.
