Rich Lister Jo Horgan’s beauty and cosmetics giant Mecca Brands spat off a $12 million dividend in 2022 after both sales and profits rose – although down from the previous year’s $20 million dividend.

The retail cosmetics powerhouse, which lost money for its first four years after opening in South Yarra in 1997, turned more than $971 million sales in 12 months to December 24, 2022, up from $688.9 million the year before, according to documents lodged with the corporate regulator.
