New CEO puzzled over why French shun Domino’s

The new chief executive of Domino’s Pizza will spend the next two months on a strategic review of the business and is keeping an open mind on the future of the company’s biggest trouble spot: France.

Mark van Dyck, who spent 16 years as a Coca-Cola executive and was regional managing director in Asia for UK-listed food service company Compass Group, said there was no reason why Domino’s should be struggling so much in France, where sales are persistently disappointing.
