Rivers, the Australian shoes and clothing brand that traces its roots back to 1863, is closing all 136 of its stores and making more than 600 staff redundant after an attempt to sell the business failed.
Rivers was one of the brands owned by Mosaic Brands, an ASX-listed retailer which fell into administration in October. The company is being run by KPMG and FTI Consulting, which have put its brands up for sale.
