Laura McBain is departing as chief executive of the ASX-listed parent company which owns the Maggie Beer Products gourmet food operations made famous by celebrity chef and author Maggie Beer.

Longtable Group, which also owns the Paris Creek organic milk and yoghurt business and Saint David Dairy, has been battling to stem heavy losses even though the Maggie Beer operations are starting to improve their performance.
