Kathmandu, Rip Curl owner ends grim year with June quarter recovery

Rip Curl and Kathmandu owner KMD Brands reported a slight improvement in trading over the last quarter of 2023-24, starting the 2025 financial year on sounder footing.

The group – which also counts US hiking boot chain Oboz in its stable – said sales for the year to July 31 fell 11.2 per cent to $NZ979.5 million ($890 million) across its three brands, including a June-quarter decline of 5 per cent.
