Country Road goes cheaper at Mimco, Politix in brand ‘reset’

Country Road Group, the company behind its eponymous fashion label and other well-known clothing and accessories chains, is repositioning two of its major brands and entering the fragrance market in a broad reset following a horror year.

The company, owned by South Africa’s Woolworths Holdings, has fallen out of favour with shoppers. Sales are down, as are profits, which fell 66 per cent to $51.3 million in the last financial year.
