Coles chief  executive Steven Cain is bringing a touch of "glass" to the battle with Woolworths for the hearts and wallets of food and liquor shoppers this Christmas.

Coles plans to follow up its successful Little Shop 2 collectables program with free glasses, handing out credits for Spiegelau wine glasses and champagne flutes when customers spend $20 or more in Coles supermarkets, Liquorland and First Choice stores.
