War for legal talent fires up in the ‘engine room’

The war for talent in the legal industry remains hot, with firms on a growth trajectory complaining they are being held back by a shortage of candidates despite a strong crop of new senior associate numbers.

In the first half of the year, firms in The Australian Financial Review Law Partnership Survey added 641 new senior associates, an adjusted six-month net increase of 105, or 2.8 per cent, that took the total to more than 3800.
