Duncan Kerr, AAT president from 2012-2017, has revealed former attorney-general George Brandis wanted an advisory committee for appointments to the tribunal.
The kerfuffle over appointments to the Administrative Appeals Tribunal took an interesting turn at the recent farewell ceremony for Justice Duncan Kerr of the Federal Court.
Kerr, the former Labor MP and minister who was AAT president from 2012-2017, revealed that former Attorney-General George Brandis had wanted an advisory committee for appointments to the AAT.
